John Aldersey-Williams has worked in the energy business for 30 years. After technical, commercial and financial roles in the upstream oil business, including a period in investment banking, he founded Redfield Consulting, a commercial consultancy in the low-carbon energy space. He has been with SeaEnergy for six years, initially in a business development role and, since 2012, as Chief Executive. He was also a Director of the European Marine Energy Centre from 2005-2009.

Andrew Beasley

Andrew is Group Commercial Director of Flowgroup plc.  Flowgroup lunched its game-changing electricity-generating boiler in the UK on 26th January.  Prior to becoming Group Commercial Director, Andrew was Managing Director of Flow Energy, also part of Flowgroup, one of the most successful ever entrants into the energy market.  

Mike Boydell

Mike is Managing Director of AJ Bell Media and has overall responsibility for the business, covering print, online, events and third party solutions. He was previously founding MD of ADVFN plc, which was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2000. He has hosted and presented at hundreds of investment-focused events and has appeared on BBC Radio and TV, ITV, Sky, CNBC, Bloomberg, Al Jazeera and was a regular commentator on LBC radio.

Nick Caw

Timothy Cornelius

Tim is credited with growing Atlantis from start-up eight years ago to one of the world’s leading tidal power developers with a global project pipeline spanning Europe, Asia and Nth America. He has a broad understanding of global power and commodities markets and has a unique ability to draw on experience gained in the field to apply to investment decisions requiring a high level of technical, financial and legal scrutiny.

Hugh Cox

Hugh co-founded Rosslyn Data Technologies. Hugh is an expert in helping organisations tackle business issues through technologies including cloud computing, data management and analytics. Hugh has authored and spoken extensively on the subject of data analysis with particular focus on fraud prevention and detection. Prior to establishing Rosslyn Data Technologies, Hugh held senior positions with COO Investments and Citigroup Private Bank. After leaving the British Army, Hugh took a BSc in Computer Science and an MBA from City University Business School.

Russ Cummings

Russ Cummings, CEO - Imperial Innovations (IVO)

Russ was appointed Chief Executive Officer on 16 July 2013 having originally joined Innovations as Chief Investment Officer in September 2006.  Prior to that, he was director in the Information Technology Group of Scottish Equity Partners.  Before joining Scottish Equity Partners, Russ worked at 3i Group plc as a director in their UK Technology Group. Russ previously worked at Rolls-Royce Motors as a development engineer, following graduating with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London.

Mike Dee

Mike Dee is a qualified accountant (CIMA) and was appointed CEO in April 2011. He has 28 years of experience at Manx Telecom. In 1987, Mike was part of the BT team involved in setting up Manx Telecom and as former Finance Director and Company Secretary was instrumental in the Company’s subsequent ownership changes. Before joining British Telecom plc in 1983, Mike held positions with the Dowty Group, Iloman Engineering and Castle Industries.

Stuart is currently Chief Executive Officer of AIM listed MedaPhor Group plc.

Neil Garner

Neil founded Proxama in 2005 (then called Glue4 Technologies). The business focused on creating services that link people and brands using consumer technologies. In 2008, the company was rebranded as Proxama with a focus on the applications of mobile, smartcard and NFC technologies. Neil passionately believes in using emerging technologies to create valuable services for people.

Prior to founding Proxama, Neil ran a division of a niche consultancy, Consult Hyperion, where he led the systems implementation teams for a number of ground breaking products including Vodafone’s m-Pesa, MasterCard’s PayPass, Sky and Barclaycard’s SkyCard and American Express Blue card.

René Gawron

Within the Management Board, he is in charge of finance, mergers and acquisitions, human resources and investor relations, as well as administration and accounting. eg solutions pioneered the back office optimisation market, now worth approximately $3bn and eg's software is now recognised as the most complete purpose built back office optimisation suite in the world.

Stephen Harvey

With over 20 years in the software sector, Stephen was CFO at Microsoft UK until 2004, and was an integral part of the best performing division within Microsoft. He left Microsoft and became CFO of Acision, the world’s leading messaging company following its spin out from Logica Plc.  Stephen has spent the past three years prior to joining blur working as a CFO internationally in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Andrew Howell

Andrew was appointed Chief Executive Officer on 1 January 2015. He previously held the role of Managing Director of Technology, managing the Technology side of KBC's business, including software development, customer support and strategy development. Prior to joining KBC, Andy worked for Schlumberger, holding senior management positions related to oil and gas development and production, and for Aspen Technology (Hyprotech) where he managed technology development for the oil and gas industry. He started his process engineering career with BP Exploration and has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge. Andrew is a member of the Executive Committee and was first appointed as a Director of KBC in April 2014. 

Michael Hunt

Michael Hunt, CFO - ReNeuron Group (RENE)

Michael Hunt joined ReNeuron in 2001. Between 2005 and 2014 he served as its CEO, leading the business through its early development to its current position as one of the global leaders in regenerative medicine. Prior to ReNeuron, Michael spent six years at Biocompatibles International plc (sold to BTG plc) where he held a number of senior financial and general management positions. His early industrial career was spent at Bunzl plc. He qualified as a chartered accountant at Ernst & Young.

Bruno Jactel

Dr. Jactel was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in January 2013. He spent 12 years at Merial Limited, the Animal Health subsidiary of the Sanofi Group as combined Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. Before Merial, Dr. Jactel was Deputy Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the French Embassy in Washington D.C. Prior to that, he was Assistant Professor at National Veterinary School of Alfort, Paris. Dr. Jactel is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has a Masters in Economic Sciences from the Sorbonne University in Paris.

Richard Kellett-Clarke

Inbal Lavi

Marne Martin

Jonathan O'Connell

From April 2000 to September 2004, Jonathan served as CFO of Spectel plc, the market-leading provider of integrated audio and web conferencing software, until its acquisition by Avaya Inc. Jonathan also served as Chief Financial Officer of Nasdaq-listed Trinity Biotech plc.
Dr. Mark Payton

Dr. Mark Payton, CEO - Mercia Asset Management (MERC)

Mark is CEO of Mercia Technologies PLC, having led the flotation in December 2014 and before that the management buyout of its precursor Mercia Fund Management in 2010. Latterly he led the acquisition in 2016 of Enterprise Ventures. Mark chairs the executive committee and the boards of Mercia’s wholly owned fund management businesses (Mercia Fund Management, Enterprise Ventures and EV Business Loans). In addition he sits on the board of portfolio company Oxford Genetics and has portfolio responsibility for PsiOxus Therapeutics.

 

Richard Penny

Richard started his investment career in 1992 and has been a fund manager since 1994. Most recently he has been the manager of the Legal and General UK Alpha Trust, winner of the Money observer best UK Growth fund award in 2009, 2010 and 2011. The Fund is an aggressive stock picking Fund looking for investments that can double or more over three years. It uses a mix of deep value and strong growth strategies.
Charlie Peppiatt

Charlie Peppiatt, CEO - Stadium Group (SDM)

Charlie Peppiatt joined Stadium as Group Operations Director in October 2011 from Laird Plc, a FTSE 250 global electronics company. He was appointed CEO in June 2013. Charlie was formerly Vice President of Global Operations for Laird Technologies with responsibility for a USD$400m division with 6,000 staff covering eleven sites. During eighteen years with Laird, he held senior roles in the USA, Canada, Europe, India and Asia. He has a proven track record for leading significant business turnaround and performance improvement.

Phil Reason

Phil Reason, CEO - Instem

Phil is an experienced chief executive who has developed a number of IT businesses in the life sciences and nuclear industries, organically and through acquisition. He joined Instem’s former parent company in 1982 and was appointed Managing Director of the Life Sciences division in 1995 and CEO following a demerger in 1998. Given the importance of the North American market to Instem’s organic and acquisitive growth, Phil relocated from the UK to the US in 2003, establishing a new headquarters in the Philadelphia area.

Mark Robinson

Mark joined APC in 1985 as a sales engineer and was appointed to the Board in 1992. In June 2001, he was appointed Managing Director and then Chief Executive Officer in September 2004.

He has been the driving force behind the Group's expansion into the sustainability sector over recent years, both in terms of organic growth and acquisitions. He plays an active role in the development of all operational businesses, as well as overseeing group-wide efforts to enhance operating efficiencies and increase general market penetration.

Michael Rosenberg

Michael's career began with Samuel Montagu, where he joined the board in 1971. In 1974 he left the bank to co-found a health care business. This was acquired by the National Enterprise Board in 1979. Michael was one of the founders of TVAM in 1982. He was one of the founders of Numis Securities Ltd and was chairman until 1999. He has been a non-executive director of PILAT Global Media, Dori Media, and Amiad Water Systems. He is Chairman of the Catalyst Media Group.

Julian Smith

Julian is a Chartered Accountant with 18 years senior experience in listed and privately held technology companies. 

He joined the Abzena Group in 2013 as CFO to assist the privately funded acquisition of Antitope; taking the Company public in July 2014 raising £20m; and a secondary placing in 2015 of £20m to support the acquisitions of two US bio technology service providers, Pacific GMP and TCRS.

Prior to this he spent over seven year as a CFO of Imperial Innovations plc guiding it through its IPO, two secondary placings raising £196m, and arranging a £30m loan with the EIB. 

Julian has an MA in Engineering Science from Magdalen College, University of Oxford.

Stephen Streater

He co-founded Eidos plc, a pioneer in non-linear editing systems and founded Forbidden Technologies plc - an award-winning technology company that develops and delivers cloud-based solutions for collaborative video post-production. Forbidden’s flagship service, FORscene, is one of the world’s most advanced cloud-based video post-production platforms.   

Patrick Walker

Patrick Walker has over 20 years of experience in the media industry, always working at the crossroads of content and technology. . In 2013 Patrick joined UK-based Multi-Channel Network (MCN) Base79 as its Chief Content Officer tasked with finding new partners and helping them, and Base79’s existing clients succeed in a global, multi-device, multi-platform online video market. Following Rightster’s acquisition of Base79 in July 2014, Patrick joined Rightster’s Executive Team as Chief Commercial Officer taking on responsibilities for Rightster’s global content and commercial partnerships.  Patrick succeeded Charlie Muirhead as CEO in January 2015.
