John joined Martin Currieâ€™s Japan team in 2000. He has been manager of Japan Oeic and Sicav funds since 2006. John joined Martin Currie from Stewart Ivory, where he was latterly head of the Europe team, having previously spent four years on the Japan desk. While at the company, he took an MSc in investment analysis at the University of Stirling. John joined Stewart Ivory in 1992 after graduating from Oxford University.
