London equities are due to open after rises on Wall St and in Asia with traders already looking ahead to tonight's interest rate call by the US Federal Reserve. This morning, they will scrutinise UK public-sector net borrowing numbers and also the fine detail of Bank of England's quarterly bulletin. US & ASIA On Wall St overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.05% to 18,129.96, the S&P 500 firmed 0.03% to 2139.76 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.12% to 5241.35. In Asia this morning, the Nikkei 225 had risen 1.18% to 16,687.42, while the Hang Seng firmed 0.61% to 23,673.73. At 6.09am, WTI crude was up 0.32% to $43.44/bbl and Brent was up 1.22% to $46.44/bbl. Gold was down 0.25% to $1314.9/oz. LONDON MARKETS Interim results are due from Matomy Media, Saga, Sinclair IS Pharma and Venture Life Group. Final results are expected from Transense Technologies. Shareholder meetings are scheduled by Alcentra European Floating Rate Income Fund, Accsys Technologies, Circle Property, IG Group, Imimobile, Kromek, Milestone, ServicePower Technologies and Worldwide Healthcare Trust.
