The shares of tiddler Lo-Q (LOQ:AIM) jumped 17% to 29.8p after it unveiled a two-year extendable agreement with Lego Windsor Park for the use of its VQ2020 queue management system.

Coming into effect from 15 March, Legoland visitors who use the system will be given a handheld wireless unit called the Q-bot, which allows them to make reservations for rides from any location in the park.

Already in use in some parks in the US, managing director, Leonard Sim, is confident the system will be well received by Legoland visitors, and that it will contribute to revenues for the year ending 31 December 2008.

The Legoland park is part of the Merlin group and other Merlin venues, such as the London Dungeon, already use Lo-Q’s Text-Q product, which enables mobile phone users to reserve places.

Shares says: This latest deal highlights the potential for this technology.
