Wind turbine maker Clipper Windpower (CPW:AIM) has raised £25 million from investors in a 537.5p issue of 4.7 million shares. The funds will be used for Clipper’s working capital programme, after the company said that there would be a strain on working capital at the start of this year due to 2007 losses – a delay in completion of a 40-turbine turnkey construction contract, and remediation programme costs. In a trading statement, the company also said the remediation programme is being delayed due to harsh weather. The shares dipped 2.5p to 535p.
