The Fund aims to achieve long-term capital growth by investing primarily in the shares of gold mining companies, precious metal related companies and resources based companies quoted on recognised and eligible markets. The Fund may also invest in gold bullion shares, other transferable securities, money market instruments, deposits, collective investment schemes and warrants. The Fund will typically be fully invested in a spread of equities principally within the gold and precious metal industry.
Ani is lead fund manager on the Smith & Williamson Global Gold and Resources Fund and is also lead manager of the AGF Precious Metals Fund. She has worked for AGF (a minority shareholder of Smith & Williamson Holdings Limited) since 2003 and has been working on the portfolio since 2008. Before joining AGF, Ani was a research associate and previous to that an associate analyst, both positions were based in Canada. Ani has a BA in Management and Marketing from Mount Vernon College in Washington D.C, an MBA in International Business and Finance also from the USA and she is a Licensed International Financial Analyst as well as a CFA charterholder and Member of the Toronto CFA Society.
