Fund Objective

The investment objective of the Sub-fund is to deliver a total return (the combination of income and capital growth) of the Consumer Price Index plus 2% per annum net of fees over a rolling five-year period. There is no guarantee that the objective will be met or that a positive return will be delivered over any time period and capital is at risk. The Sub-fund may invest, directly and indirectly in equities, bonds, warrants, money market instruments, deposits, cash, near cash and collective investment schemes (regulated and unregulated). The Sub-fund may invest in derivatives for both investment and efficient portfolio management purposes. The Sub-fund may gain indirect exposure, through collective investment schemes and transferable securities, to assets including, but not limited to, commercial property, hedge funds and commodities. The Sub-fund has no geographical restrictions.

Fund Managers

Scott Ingham
Scott has been responsible for strategic asset allocation and risk management since joining Heartwood in 2008. He also manages client portfolios and runs our Cautious Investment Strategy, and has co-responsibility for heading fixed income research. Previously, Scott worked at Rothschild Wealth Management and Barclays Wealth as a Portfolio Strategist focusing on developing and managing stochastic-based strategic asset allocation tools, quantitative models and efficient portfolio implementation approaches. His investment career began at Robertson Stephens International, where he became a Senior Equity Analyst. Awarded a PhD in inorganic chemistry in 1991, Scott worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at Cambridge University and then a lecturer at Edinburgh University. In 2000, he gained an MBA from Cass Business School. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
