The Fund seeks to outperform the FTSE Actuaries British Government Over 5 Years Index-Linked Index by 0.40% per annum gross of fees over rolling three-year periods. The Fund will invest mainly in +5 year UK Government securities including index linked securities. The Fund may invest up to 10% in overseas government securities and Sterling corporate securities although the Sterling corporate securities may not exceed 5%. The Fund may also invest in money market instruments and units of collective investment schemes. Derivatives may be used for efficient portfolio management. Foreign currency exposure will be hedged back to Sterling.
Michiel de Bruin
Michiel de Bruin is a Director and Head of Euro Government Bonds, having joined F&C in 2003. Prior to this Michiel managed the Euro Government bond portfolios for F&C's Dutch Insurance customers. Michiel was educated at the HTS Amsterdam and at the Free University Amsterdam. Before joining F&C Michiel worked for more than 15 years in various fixed income senior trading and sales positions, including co- head of Fixed Income at NIB Capital and board member of the electronic bond trading platform MTS Amsterdam. Michiel is registered at the Dutch Securities Institute (DSI) as both a Senior Investment Manager and Senior Securities Trader.
