The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to provide long term growth and income through an active investment strategy which will include investments within higher risk/faster growth economies (when considered appropriate) using an activity managed portfolio. Investments will include exposure at any one time to equities, fixed interest investments, money market instruments, cash and property collective investment schemes (some of which may be unregulated). The Sub-Fund will invest globally and is expected to include significant exposure to Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets from time to time.
Matthew joined Margetts in 2002 and is on the board of Margetts as Chief Investment Officer. Matthew has responsibility for front and middle office operations, including the investment process and team of analysts. Matthew sits on several investment committee and is the lead manager of the MGTS Frontier fund range and MGTS Clarion fund range. Matthew is a CFA Charter holder and has a degree in economics, where he conducted an empirical investigation into the relationship between risk and return and modern portfolio theory. Matthew is also a member of the Risk Committee that monitors the risks to all Margetts Collective Investment Schemes and the Firm.
