The Fund aims to secure a return combining capital and income. The Fund's risk profile matching portfolio will invest in cash, government and corporate bonds with the balance split between exposure to a range of equities and an allocation to property, all primarily through collective investment schemes. The Fund may also invest directly and indirectly in transferable securities, money market instruments, and may use derivatives for investment purposes to increase, maintain and reduce its investment exposures.
Gary Potter joined the Group in August 2007 to establish Thames River Multi-Capital, our multi-manager business which runs a range of funds of funds products including the F&C Lifestyle risk-rated funds. He was at Credit Suisse from 2001, jointly responsible with Robert Burdett for their Multi-Manager funds. He joined with three colleagues from Rothschild Asset Management Limited (RAM), where he was a main board director, jointly responsible for their Multi-Manager business. His investment experience commenced in 1981 in private client fund management where responsibilities extended to a specific focus on asset allocation and stock research, moving into the multi-manager field in 1992. He is a member of the Securities Institute.
