The investment objective of the Sub-fund is to deliver a total return (the combination of income and capital growth) of the Consumer Price Index plus 2% per annum net of fees over a rolling five-year period, with an emphasis on generating income. There is no guarantee that the objective will be met or that a positive return will be delivered over any time period and capital is at risk. The Sub-fund may invest, directly and indirectly, in equities, bonds, warrants, money market instruments, deposits, cash, near cash and collective investment schemes (regulated and unregulated). The Sub-fund may invest in derivatives for both investment and efficient portfolio management purposes. The Sub-fund may gain indirect exposure, through collective investment schemes and transferable securities, to assets including, but not limited to, commercial property, hedge funds and commodities. The Sub-fund has no geographical restrictions.
As well as managing portfolios and running our Income Strategies, Jaisal is involved in market research, with a focus on European equities and structured derivatives. Before joining Heartwood in early 2010, Jaisal started his career in 2007 as an analyst with Dresdner Kleinwort Capital Markets. There, he was involved in the pricing and execution of investment-grade financial, investment-grade corporate and emerging-market primary bond issues.Jaisal graduated from University College London with a first-class honours degree in Mathematics and then gained an MSc in Finance from Imperial College Business School London. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
