The Fund invests in Global Real Estate Securities and aims to deliver a total return greater than the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Developed Custom Midday Net Tax Index (total return in GBP), whilst retaining geographical neutrality versus the benchmark.
Marcus Phayre-Mudge joined the firm in October 2004 and is a fund manager and head of our Real Estate Securities team. Prior to joining, Marcus was a partner at Thames River Capital (now part of BMO Global Asset Management). He was at Henderson Global Investors from 1997 to 2004. He manages TR Property Investment Trust, the largest European closed-ended real estate equity Investment Trust as well as co-managing F&C Property Growth & Income Fund (which he launched in 2005) and the F&C Global Real Estate Securities Fund. Prior to joining Henderson, Marcus was an investment surveyor at Knight Frank (1990) and was made an Associate Partner in the fund management division (1995). He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992 and has a BSc (Hons) in Land Management from Reading University.
