The objective of the Fund is to optimise the total return (being a combination of capital growth and income) for charity investors, through a global and balanced portfolio, screened against negative socially responsible investment criteria. The Fund is actively managed, investing in equities and fixed interest securities on a global basis with the aim of providing a balance between capital growth and income.
Having graduated from Durham University with a degree in Economics, Robert was then sponsored by the EU to complete a Diploma in European Financial Analysis at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne where he was awarded Distinctions.Subsequently, Robert joined CIN Management as a Trainee UK Research Analyst before moving on to work on the Japanese Equity Team. On joining Goldman Sachs Asset Management he spent 2 years in Tokyo managing Japanese equities before returning to the London office. While in London he Co-Headed the European Portfolio Management team, ran the Technology research group before moving to run £5bn in Global Equities.He joined Newton in January 2003 to work on the Global Multi-Asset Team.
