The Company will seek to achieve its objective of capital growth primarily through investment in equity securities that have direct underlying Gold and/or precious metals exposure or through companies worldwide whose core business is involved in the mining, refining, production and marketing of Gold and/or precious metals. The Company may also invest in other transferable securities, approved money market instruments, government and public securities, deposits, cash and near cash. The Fund has the ability to invest in collective investment schemes up to a maximum of 10% of NAV. The Fund will not invest in derivatives.
Amanda Van Dyke
Amanda van Dyke is a mining equity specialist. She has been previously with the mining teams of GMP, Pareto, and Dundee Securities, as an analyst and mining specialist sales person. She is also the Chairman of Women in Mining UK, and a member of the advisory board of Mines and Money London. She has authored numerous re-search reports as well as articles on investing in gold and the mining sector, and most notably co-authored with PWC a 3 year landmark study on board composition in the mining sector and how it affects performance of mining companies. She is a professional gemmologist, and holds an MBA and MA in International Economics, from SDA Bocconi and China Europe International Business School.
