The fund aims to provide capital growth. At least 80% of the fund will be invested in shares of UK companies. The fund has no bias to any particular industry or size of company. The fund invests in companies that have suffered a major profit or share price setback, but which appear to have good long-term prospects and the potential for significant share price gains. These could simply be companies whose share prices appear low relative to their long-term profit potential, or firms that are currently underperforming in profit terms, but have a clear and credible route for turning this around. The fund may also invest in other financial instruments and hold cash on deposit. Derivatives may be used to achieve the investment objective and to reduce risk or manage the fund more efficiently.
