The fund seeks to provide long-term capital growth by investing in the Far East excluding Japan. The fund seeks to invest in a diverse portfolio of securities quoted on Far Eastern stock markets excluding Japan. The ACD may also invest at its discretion in other transferable securities, money market instruments, deposits, cash and near cash and collective investment schemes.
Sanjiv Duggal is the Head of Asian and Indian Equities and has been working in the industry since 1991. Sanjiv joined HSBC in 1996 and was responsible for the management of Indian equities. Sanjiv moved into his current role in July 2013 and will continue to manage the flagship HSBC GIF Indian Equity Fund which he has been involved in running since he joined. Prior to joining HSBC Sanjiv worked for the Hill Samuel Group where he spent nearly five years initially in internal audit and latterly as an Emerging Markets fund manager. Sanjiv is a Chartered Accountant.
Husan Pai is a fund manager in the Asia ex Japan equity team and has been working in the industry since 1987. Prior to joining HSBC in 2003 Husan worked as director of investment at Credit Agricole Asset Management. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Finance from Simon Fraser University (Canada).
