The objective of the Fund is to achieve income and capital growth over the long term by investing primarily in equities and similar securities of companies listed or located in the Asia Pacific region (including Australia and New Zealand) excluding Japan. The Fund may also invest in exchange traded funds, investment trusts and other closed or open-ended funds, as wellas cash and near cash, money market instruments and deposits. The Fund may also enter into derivative transactions but only for the purposes of efficient management of the portfolio and not for investment.
Jason joined Jupiter in 2015 and is currently Head of Strategy, Asian Income as well as the manager of the Jupiter Asian Income Fund (Unit Trust) and the Jupiter Asia Pacific Income fund (SICAV). Before joining Jupiter, Jason was at Newton (joining in 2004) where he ran an Asian equity income fund from 2005 until his departure in 2015. Prior to that, Jason was responsible for stock selection and asset allocation in the Asia ex-Japan region for the BP Pension Fund. Jason began investing in the Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) region in 1993.
