The objective of the Balanced Fund is to generate capital growth over the medium to long term (3-10 years) by investing into a combination of fixed interest and equity via other collective investment schemes. It is actively managed and not constrained by a benchmark.
Mark joined Vartan Ravenscroft in November 2016 as Head of Ravenscroft Investment Management UK. Mark has over 30 years of investment experience, having worked at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Cazenove, Prudential Bache, ANZ Grindlays and Coutts & Co. More recently he was the Head of Multi-Manager at Aberdeen Asset Management where he was responsible for the management and advice on more than £15bn of assets. Mark is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (FCSI), having completed the Securities Industry Diploma and he is also a Member of the Institute of Financial Services and passed the Institute of Bankers exams (ACIB).
Mark joined Ravenscroft in 2008, having previously been head of discretionary portfolio management at Brewin Dolphin, Guernsey. Prior to that, he worked at Mathesons and Credit Suisse. Mark was educated at Elizabeth College, Guernsey and the University of Leeds where he studied geography and politics. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, having completed the CISI Diploma and he is also a Chartered Wealth Manager. As well as his role as Managing Director for the Ravenscroft group, Mark is also Managing Director of Ravenscroft Investment Management.
