To provide an above average and subsequently increasing level of income with the potential for some capital growth by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of units/shares of collective investment schemes, (including, but not restricted to, Exchange Traded Funds, collective investment schemes which themselves invest in property and/or the shares of property companies, and index-linked collective investment schemes), and transferable securities (including, but not restricted to, shares in investment companies including investment trusts which themselves invest in equities, property and/or the shares of property investment companies, equity linked transferable securities and fixed interest securities), on a global basis. From time to time the scheme may also invest in fixed interest securities, variable rate and index related securities issued by corporate bodies, government and local and regional agencies on a global basis. Gurjit graduated from the University of the West of England with a BA (Hons) in Financial Services and joined the investment team at Marlborough in 1996. He works closely with Nicholas Cooling and has developed a pragmatic and research-driven investment style.
Nicholas joined the asset management company that went on to become Marlborough Investment Management as a fund manager in 1991. He was responsible for a total reorganisation of its investment processes, leading to significant expansion of the business. Nicholas is Deputy Chairman of Marlborough Fund Managers and Investment Director of Marlborough Investment Management.
Rajesh graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Financial Services and joined Marlborough's funds of funds team in 2003. His enthusiasm and drive enabled him to be fast-tracked to a fund management role within a year. Rajesh is a CFA level 3 candidate.
Ms. Sarah Sampson serves as an Analyst at Marlborough Fund Managers Limited. Ms. Sampson serves as Fund Manager of Marlborough OEIC - Marlborough Defensive Fund. She graduated from The University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Within the programme, she studied modules within the areas of Economics, Accounting, and Marketing.
