The aim of the Fund is to grow the amount you invested. The Fund invests at least two-thirds of its assets in shares of large companies in the UK. The Fund may also invest in asset classes and instruments different from those stated above.
Jeremy Smith joined the company in 2015 as a portfolio manager and Head of UK Equity Research. He manages a number of core institutional portfolios as well as the Threadneedle UK Overseas Earnings Fund. He also has research responsibility for the transport and support services sectors, as well as responsibility for leading the UK research team.Jeremy joined from Liberum Capital Limited where he was part of the Equities Sales team. He has over 20 years of experience and has held various roles in the asset management industry including Head of UK Equities at Neptune Investment Management and Director in the UK large cap team at Schroders. During his tenure at Neptune and Schroders, Jeremy worked as a portfolio manager with responsibility for a range of UK Equity portfolios, as well as an analyst specialising in the oil & gas and chemicals sectors.Jeremy holds a BA (Hons) in History and is also a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA).
Chris Kinder joined the company in 2010 as a portfolio manager in the UK equities team. His main responsibilities are the management of the Threadneedle UK Fund and Threadneedle UK Extended Alpha Fund, the co-management of the Threadneedle UK Absolute Alpha Fund and the co-management of the Threadneedle Institutional Fund and a number of institutional portfolios. He also has research responsibility for the housebuilders and retail sectors.Before joining the company, Chris was an assistant fund manager at RWC Partners. He has also worked at Govett Investments, gaining experience in smaller companies’ analysis. Chris is a qualified chartered accountant, having worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 4 years before joining the investment management industry.Chris has a degree in Modern European Languages from Durham University and he also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
