The fund aims to provide income and capital growth by investing in equities of real estate companies worldwide. At least 80% of the fund will be invested in equities of real estate companies worldwide. The fund seeks exposure to cities that we believe will exhibit continued economic growth, supported by a number factors such as strong infrastructure and supportive planning regimes. The fund is not designed to have a bias to any particular country or size of company. The fund may also invest in collective investment schemes that invest in equities of real estate companies, warrants and money market instruments, and may hold cash. Derivatives may be used to seek to achieve investment gains, to reduce risk and to manage the fund more efficiently.
Hugo Machin Joined Schroders in July 2014 as fund manager – Global Property Securities. He has Over 15 years of real estate experience. He was the Head of European Listed Real Estate at AMP Capital – 2006 – 2014 and responsible for setting up the London office for the AMP Global Property Securities Fund. He was in ING Investment Management, Sydney - 2004 – 2006 and Welcome Trust with responsibility for commercial property portfolio – 1999 – 2004. He has completed BA Hons in English Literature from Durham University, MSc in Real Estate Finance and Investment from Reading University and a Diploma in Cross Border Valuation from Oxford Said Business School..
Tom Walker Joined Schroders in July 2014 as fund manager – Global Property Securities. He has Over 15 years of real estate experience. He was the Deputy Head of Global Listed Real Estate at AMP Capital in the year 2005 – 2014 and Jones Lang LaSalle in the year 1999 – 2005. He has completed BA in Politics from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and a Graduate Diploma in Real Estate from London South Bank University and MRICS.
