Mobile Streams PLC said on Friday that it will be launching new services in India during the first quarter of 2022 in a partnership with Vodafone India.

The London-based social media marketing company said it intends to launch gaming, e-sports and metaverse services via its own app to Vodafone India customers.

The service will be delivered via the Google App Store, owned by Alphabet Inc, will enable customers to pay directly from their Vodafone bill via their Google wallet. Mobile Streams said initial games will be available by the end of first quarter, subject to approval from the Google play store.

The company added that it is in advanced discussion with Jio mobile network in India regarding the launch of new services. It said it will provide an update on this in due course.

Non-Executive Director Nigel Burton said: ‘We are very pleased to announce the launch of our new services in India. To be able to market our offering to Vodafone India’s over 273 million customers is a massive opportunity for the business. It also completes the turnaround of the legacy business we took over and I am delighted to have been able to accomplish this.’

Shares in Mobile Streams were up 5.5% at 0.48 pence on Friday morning in London.
