Trident Royalties PLC, up 1.6% at 51.30p, 12-month range 32.00p-51.60p. Says first gold was successfully poured in late February at Lincoln gold mine in California, US. Owns net smelter return royalty over production from the Lincoln of 1.50%, decreasing to 0.75% upon $3 million being paid on the royalty. Notes manager at mine, Seduli Sutter Operations Corp, currently completing commissioning activities to support the restart of Stage 1 production targeting 220 tonnes-per-day, with the aim of producing approximately 20,000 ounces of gold per year. The project is permitted for Stage 2 production of up to 1,000 tonnes-per-day, about 80,000 ounces gold. Chief Executive Adam Davidson says: ‘This represents the culmination of significant efforts by Seduli’s owners, management and operational staff over the last two years. It also validates Trident’s view of the underlying asset, management team and overall attractiveness of the project.’

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust PLC, down 5.1% at 123.35p, 12-month range 152.00p-123.35p. Sinks to 12-month low as it seeks to reduce exposure to Russian equities. Notes exposure at 3.6% at end of January. ‘The company considers that there has been a material change to the market value of its Russian investments and therefore it is in the best interests of shareholders to apply a fair valuation methodology to those investments in accordance with the established fair valuation policies and procedures of its manager, JPMorgan Funds.’

Guild Esports PLC, down 8.3% at 1.65p, 12-month range 8.06p-1.65p. Drops despite winning its fifth major trophy after its Fortnite pro-player, Henrik Mclean, achieved first place in the prestigious Fortnite Champion Series EU Final on Sunday, taking home half of the tournament’s $300,000 top prize.
