- Ferrexpo PLC on Friday said it has been granted an extension for its 2021 results publication in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The deadline has been extended to June 30, though the miner said it is unable to provide a date as to when its results will be published given the uncertainty surrounding the situation in Ukraine.

‘This extension has been implemented due to the ongoing uncertainty relating to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the impact this has had on the ability of the company to complete all necessary workstreams in relation to the results,’ the iron ore pellets producer said.

Ferrexpo is Baar, Switzerland-headquartered but has its operations in central Ukraine.

Chief Executive Jim North said the situation in Ukraine is ‘unprecedented’ and ‘unpredictable’.

‘The decision to utilise the available reporting extension has been taken in light of the significant uncertainty that the group currently has in its near-term outlook, as well as the group’s ability to conclude its financial accounts and for the group’s independent auditors to complete their audit procedures,’ North said.

Shares in Ferrexpo were up 3.6% at 169.30 pence in London early Friday. The stock remains down 45% so far in 2022.
