GreenRoc Mining PLC on Monday said Chief Executive Officer Kirk Adams has resigned for personal reasons.

Adams had his last day on Friday last week. Non-Executive Director Lars Brunner has taken over the role of CEO while the company seeks to appoint a long-term successor to the post.

GreenRoc is focused on the development of mineral projects in Greenland.

Chair George Frangeskides said: ‘I would like to thank Kirk for his stewardship of the company since the IPO and to wish him every success in his future endeavours.’

GreenRock made its initial public offering on AIM in London back in September, debuting at 10 pence per share. GreenRoc shares were up 2.2% at 7.00p each on Monday morning in London.

GreenRoc is a portfolio company of London-based mineral exploration company Alba Mineral Resources PLC, which holds a 54% majority interest in GreenRoc. Alba shares were down 9.3% at 0.19p on Monday.
