Beauty retailer Revolution Beauty Group PLC on Thursday named its new chief financial officer as Elizabeth Lake, the finance head of cinema company Everyman Media Group PLC.

Lake is succeeding Andrew Clark, who will remain with the Kent-based company until the end of July to ensure a smooth handover. He joined the business as CFO in 2019.

Lake joins from Everyman Media, having been CFO there since 2019. Everyman at the end of December reported her resignation, but said she would be staying with the firm to serve out her six-month notice period.

At Everyman, Revolution Beauty noted, she ‘successfully led the company through the challenges presented by the Covid 19 pandemic’, demonstrating her ‘strong financial and operational acumen’. Prior to that, Lake was CFO at Science in Sport PLC.

Commenting on Lake’s appointment, Revolution Beauty Chief Executive Adam Minto said: ‘She has worked across some of the UK’s top consumer and retail brands, and brings a deep understanding of the wider industry, as well as a strong track record leading the finance function at UK PLCs. I look forward to working together as we execute Revolution’s strategy and continue to grow our market share around the world, while delivering meaningful shareholder value.’

Revolution Beauty was trading 1.3% higher in London on Thursday midday at 113.50 pence.
