Osirium Technologies PLC on Tuesday said it has signed its first US customer, a ‘global investment bank’.

Osirium Technologies, a vendor of cloud-based cybersecurity and IT automation software, said it will use its services to guard against potential threats to the unnamed bank’s IT infrastructure, such as ransomware attacks.

Osirium Technologies added that the contract was sold via reseller HIC Global Solutions in collaboration with software distribution firm Prianto Ltd.

The contract is not expected to have a material impact on the Osirium’s financial results this year, it said.

Chief Executive David Guyatt said: ‘We are delighted to announce this first win in the USA...This network forms a core element of the group’s strategy, both domestically and internationally, and extends the group’s reach across the five continents in which it operates.’

Osirium Technologies was trading 5.2% higher in London on Tuesday afternoon at 8.15 pence.
