Aptamer Group PLC on Monday said that it has hired Jenny Cutler as interim chief financial officer, replacing Eleanor Brown who steps down from her role.

Aptamer is a York-based provider of custom services, diagnostics, and therapeutics for biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms. Cutler’s most recent post was as CFO of AIM-listed Fulcrum Utility Services Ltd, for two years since 2020.

The company said that Brown will be stepping down from the board and her role as CFO with immediate effect and leaving the company on December 28. Aptamer said it has started the search for a permanent successor.

Chief Executive Arron Tolley said: ‘Aptamer Group is grateful to Brown for her four years of service during which time the company has grown significantly, become revenue generating and, at the end of 2021, was successfully admitted to AIM raising gross proceeds of £10.8 million, a process which Brown was central to.’

Shares in Aptamer were down 1.5% at 96.00 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
