Asos PLC, up 8.4% at 849.50 pence, 12-month range 774p-5,242.74p. Stock bounces back after Thursday’s brutal 32% collapse. The online clothing retailer on Thursday lowered annual guidance after its third quarter was hit by inflationary pressures and a high clothing return rate.

James Fisher & Sons PLC, up 5.4% at 330p, 12-month range 280p-1,036p. Appoints former Smiths Group PLC executive Jean Vernet as its new chief executive. The Cumbria, England-based marine services company says that Vernet will take up the position of CEO on September 5. Vernet has experience working in the offshore energy sector both in the UK and globally, James Fisher notes. He was most recently chief executive of Smith Group’s largest division, John Crane.

AVI Japan Opportunity Trust PLC, down 3.5% at 105.72p, 12-month range 104p-127p. The Japan-focused investor tracks stock market falls in Tokyo, with the Nikkei 225 index ending down 1.8%.
