Gamma Communications PLC on Thursday said Chief Executive Officer Andrew Taylor will step down, after four years with the London-based cloud services provider.

Taylor plans to resign from the board and his role as CEO on Monday, but he will continue to work with Gamma in a supporting advisory role until July next year. Gamma said the move will enable Taylor to focus on developing his non-executive director positions.

Meanwhile, Deputy CEO Andrew Belshaw, who has been with the company since 2007, has been promoted to interim CEO.

Belshaw served as chief financial officer from the company’s initial public offering in 2014 until being promoted to deputy CEO in May. He was replaced as CFO by Bill Castell.

Gamma added that it continues to trade in line with the board’s expectations.

Chair Richard Last said Taylor ‘helped create a first-class management team that is very well placed to take the business forward’.

Shares in Gamma Communications were down 4.0% to 1,104.00 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
