S4 Capital PLC on Friday said its Media.Monks business has entered an agreement with social media marketing services agency XX Artists, to expand its capabilities and client base in the core US market.
London-based S4 Capital is an advertising agency started and led by Martin Sorrell, the former chief executive of WPP PLC. XX Artists, founded in 2018, is a social media marketing agency, headquartered in Los Angeles. It helps clients such as Alphabet Inc’s Google, YouTube, Logitech and Ancestry.com formulate and execute their social and influencer content strategies, S4 said.
The deal, unveiled on Friday, will see XX Artists added to S4 Capital’s Media.Monks unit to expand its capabilities and client base in the core US market.
In 2021, XX Artists generated $12 million gross profit and ‘is experiencing continued strong growth heading into 2022’.
Commenting on XX Artists, S4 Executive Chair Martin Sorrell said: ‘Their exciting growth, diverse talent base and prestigious clients will help fuel the development of our best-in-class social media capabilities in the United States and internationally.’
In the past year, Media.Monks has also combined with creative content marketing agency Miyagi Srl and website & app designer Zemoga.
Shares in S4 were up 1.1% at 231.60 pence each in London on Friday morning.
