Osirium Technologies PLC on Thursday announced a new contract with a UK university worth around £140,000.

The vendor of cloud-based cybersecurity and IT automation software will provide a three-year subscription to its Privileged Access Management product to improve cybersecurity and protect devices across the establishment.

Due to support from the group’s partners, Prianto and Acadenmia, the contract was closed within six weeks. ‘The directors believe that the speed of implementation of PAM and value for money were critical to the selection of Osirium against other cybersecurity vendors,’ the company said.

The Reading, England-based cybersecurity provider said the contract represents 8.9% of bookings achieved in 2021 and reflects a trend of increasing average new client contract values in 2022.

Chief Executive Officer David Guyatt said: ‘This is another win for Osirium in higher education, following on from a number of key wins in 2022. We’re especially pleased that not only did we compete successfully against larger vendors but, working closely with our partners, we were able to provide the solution the customer needed in a very short period.’

Shares in Osirium were up 4.8% at 6.03 pence in London on Thursday.
