Xeros Technology Group PLC - Rotherham, England-based environmental technology firm - Hires Neil Austin as chief executive officer, effective on August 1. Outgoing CEO Mark Nichols will step down on that day and leave the company on September 30 this year.

Xeros says Austin has experience in commercial sales and management in the global domestic appliance manufacturing industry. Austin recently was managing director of of Strix (UK) Ltd, part of Strix Group PLC, where he focused on consumer goods division including water filtration. Prior to this, Austin was chief commercial officer of Neurovalens Ltd.

‘With extensive experience in the domestic appliances industry, I have been aware of Xeros’s revolutionary technology for many years,’ Austin says. ‘The opportunity to help the business continue its vitally important mission to improve sustainability in the laundry and garment sectors is both a privilege and an honour. I am confident that by building on the solid foundations laid by the team, we are ready for the commercial breakthrough that the technology deserves.’
