Workspace Group PLC on Tuesday celebrated its lettings progress at The Centro Buildings in Camden, London.
The London-based flexible workspace provider said it signed a new five-year lease deal with the North London National Health Service Foundation Trust at The Centro Buildings. The letting is for 16,000 square feet at a net rent of £45 per square foot.
The agreement follows Workspace’s completion of a refurbishment of Centro workshops which is one of The Centro Buildings. It included the creation of 40 new small units to cater for Camden’s creative and innovative small and medium enterprises.
Workspace Chief Executive Officer Lawrence Hutchings said: ‘The progress we are making at The Centro Buildings is clear evidence of our fix, accelerate, scale strategy in action. The research we conducted earlier in the year showed that Camden is a hotspot for the creators, makers, innovators and disruptors we serve. At Centro Workshops, we have refreshed our product and are rolling out our small-unit offer for the first time in this market to capture that demand. The recent success we’ve had in letting both small and larger spaces gives us confidence that we have the right approach to rebuild occupancy and deliver shareholder returns.’
Workspace shares were 0.1% higher at 379.50 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
