London equities are set to open into a relatively busy session on the corporate news front, with investors looking to UK and Eurozone retail sales data out this morning. Wall St and Asia rose overnight.

On Wall St overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 39% to 18,491.96, the S&P 500 firmed 0.42% to 2179.98 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.43% to 5249.9.
In Asia this morning, the Nikkei 225 had risen 0.21% to 17,073.85, while the Hang Seng firmed 0.35% to 23,731.41.
At 6.04am, WTI crude was up 1.94% to $45.30/bbl and Brent was ahead 0.19% to $47.72/bbl. Gold was up 0.26% to $1330.2/oz.
Interim results are due from Applegreen, Curtis Banks, Dalata Hotel, Forbidden Technologies, Gamma Communications, Harworth, InterQuest, Johnson Service, Learning Technologies, Stadium, SQS Software Quality Systems and TCS Holding.
Final results are scheduled from Ashmore, Craneware, Mucklow (A & J) and Redrow. Trading statements are due from Berkeley Holdings, Halfords, Pennon, Smith (DS) and Topps Tiles. Shareholder meetings are being held by Bacit, Oneview, Severfield and Work Group.
