London stocks are set to open cautiously after overnight gains on Wall St and falls in Asia, with oil and gold prices lower.
In a session expected to be slim on the corporate news front, traders will be looking to euro-zone purchasing managers' index data out this morning.
US & ASIA
On Wall St overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.54% to 18,392.46, the S&P 500 firmed 0.66% to 2177.18 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.84% to 5339.52.
In Asia this morning, the Nikkei 225 had fallen 0.24% to 16,767.37, while the Hang Seng firmed 0.05% to 23,747.37.
At 6.04am, WTI crude was down 1.12% to $45.80/bbl and Brent was down 0.86% to $47.24/bbl. Gold was down 0.48% to $338.8/oz.
Shareholder meetings are due for Henderson Smaller Companies, Investment Trust and Sirius Real Estate.
