North Midland Construction has won a new JV infrastructure contract for Severn Trent Water on the Birmingham Resilience Project worth in excess of £100m.

The scheme would begin on site in Q3 2017 and would be delivered over the next three years.

As a result of this win, the company's results for the FY were expected to be ahead of management expectations.

"Shareholders should note that the contract value is spread over the duration of the contract and will be split between North Midland and its JV partner," the company said.

North Midland Construction would perform the design and construction of a new Water treatment plant at Frankley.

CEO John Homer said: "This is a fantastic flagship project to be awarded with one of our key customers and is a testament to the specialist capabilities that our group have developed."
