The Spanish manufacturing sector gained further growth momentum during October, with sharp and accelerated rises in output, new orders and employment recorded.
The headline IHS Markit Spain Manufacturing PMI increased to 55.8, up from 54.3 in September and the highest reading since May 2015.
Firms responded to higher workloads by increasing purchasing activity, in turn leading to one of the fastest rises in input stocks in the survey's history.
Meanwhile, inflationary pressures gathered pace amid reports of raw material shortages. This also contributed to longer suppliers' delivery times.
