Cronin Group, the AIM listed company focusing on digitising chemistry, has acquired OpenIOLabs  which specialises in developing hardware and software for scientific and industrial uses.

Cronin said that OpenIOLabs chairman Dr David Cleevely would be appointed as a non-executive director of the company with effect from completion of the acquisition.

Cronin said it had  acquired OpenIOLabs for a maximum consideration of 47 million new ordinary shares of which 25 million would be issued on completion and the balance may be issued within four years of completion.
