Frontera Resources expects to start a three-well drilling campaign in Georgia in late January.
The company said it had been notified by its drilling contractor, Gulf Drilling Supply FZY, that it would start mobilisation of the drilling rig from western Azerbaijan to the T-45 well site on 15 Jan.
It said the rig would then start the previously announced three-well drilling campaign in the Taribani field, situated inside the 800 sq km Taribani complex area, located in onshore Block 12, Georgia.
The company said it had decided to start its three-well drilling campaign with the well deepening at T-45, because it was an easier operation compared to the well sidetracking at Dino-2 and T-39.
It said it was anticipated that Gulf's drilling rig would begin operations at T-45 at the end of January.
It said testing of the well T-45 was expected to commence in late February.
Testing of the well Dino-2 was expected to commence at the end of March and testing of the well T-39 was expected to begin at the end of April.
