ProPhotonix said it expected to boost its annual revenue to a record $17.6m, up from $16.2m a year earlier.
Higher staff and other costs, however, would bring operating income down to $1.0m, from $1.5m.
The revenue growth stemmed from an increase in sales to several major customers, partially offset by a decrease in sales to one large laser customer that converted to an alternate technology in the second quarter of 2017, the company said.
The order book at the end of December was $7.3m, up from $5.6m a year earlier.
