Borders & Southern said an independent evaluation of its Darwin East discovery and Darwin West prospect offshore the Falkland Islands indicated, in a best-estimate scenario, they contained 462m barrels of condensate and LPG. The geological chance of success of finding hydrocarbons in a well located on Darwin West, meanwhile, was assessed to be 0.81. 'With the recent recovery of Brent crude we are optimistic that this evaluation will assist in our efforts to secure partners and funding for the next phase of drilling,'chief executive Howard Obee said.
