The FTSE 100 is expected to open relatively unchanged on the last day of trading before the Easter break, according to financial spread betting firms. Meanwhile, the tech sector sell-off in the US continued overnight but Asian markets were a little stronger this morning. OVERSEAS MARKETS In the US overnight, the Dow ended 9.29 points lower at 23,848.42, the S&P 500 fell 7.62 points to close at 2,605 and the Nasdaq was off by 59.58 points at 6,949.23. In Asia this morning, the Nikkei 225 was up by 11.39 points at 21,042.7 in late trading. The Hang Seng was up 65.38 points at 30,087.91 and the Shanghai Composite was 22.91 points higher at 3,145.2. COMMODITIES WTI crude oil was 0.5% higher at $64.7 per barrel and Brent crude was up 0.49% at $69.87 per barrel. Gold was 0.16% firmer at $1,332.1 per ounce, silver was 0.2% higher and copper was up 0.62%. CORPORATE ANNOUNCEMENTS Trading Statements: RPC Group. Interim Results: DX Group.
