Alexander Mining said partner Proses had had made progress on establishing a zinc plant in Turkey by signing a new royalty agreement.
Alexander and Proses had in February formed a commercial and technical partnership, whereby Proses would use Alexander's patented leaching technology to process lower-grade oxide zinc ores.
Proses had now entered into a formal royalty agreement with Osmanli Madencilik, which would receive a percentage of product from the zinc plant. 'We are delighted with the excellent news and swift progress made by our partners Proses and greatly appreciate their hard work and efforts to reach this exciting milestone,' chief executive Martin Rosser said.
'We very much look forward to working together on the next stages.'
