Eco Atlantic Oil and Gas said it and partners including Total had contracted a rig to drill the Jethro-Lobe prospect offshore Guyana.

The Stena Forth rig had been secured for transport at the end of May, targeting the commencement of drilling in June.

The agreement also definesd a window for another well on the Orinduik Block, which would be drilled after the Jethro-Lobe well had been drilled.

'The Orinduik partners are currently reviewing plans for a second well and anticipate formalizing those plans in the coming weeks,' the company said.
