Mosman Oil and Gas said it and partner Baja Oil & Gas were re-completing a well in Texas after production was constrained by limited gas infrastructure. The re-completion of the Stanley-1 well, which would involve switching its focus to oil instead of gas, was now underway and expected to take three to four days. The work was designed to produce oil from the Sparta zone, while the Wilcox zone would be cemented off and may be re-entered in due course. Mosman said it would pay around $6k for its share of re-completion costs. 'The decision was made to re-complete the well to focus on oil production until the gas infrastructure is improved,' chairman John W Barr said. 'It is good to have work commence on site after the winter rain season and the board of Mosman very much look forward to the detailed results and to updating shareholders as soon as possible.'
