Alexander Mining said its partner in Turkey had started work on an environmental impact assessment for a new zinc plant.
Proses has been progressing plans in Turkey for the establishment of a semi-industrial-scale plant using Alexander Mining's ore processing technology.
A preliminary EIA report had been prepared and was expected to be submitted to the Ministry of Environment in a few weeks.
The ministry would then organize meetings with participation of relevant government and non-governmental departments and set up the requirements and format for the final EIA report.
The whole procedure was expected to be completed towards the end of 2019.
Feasibility technical test work was due to start soon, the company said.
