A consortium including Apax Partners, Warburg Pincus and Canadian pension funds moved closer to completing a £3.4bn takeover of satellite group Inmarsat after shareholders who were against the takeover relented. The satellite provider said it had received confirmation that the contesting shareholders no longer intended to raise objections to deal at a court hearing to sanction the takeover.
