Renewi's shares to commence trading on Euronext Amsterdam

London - 30 January 2020 - Renewi (LSE/AEX: RWI), the international waste-to-product business, announces that its shares will start trading on Euronext Amsterdam today. The Company has not placed any new shares and continues to remain listed on the premium segment of the Official List in London.

Renewi announced its application for the secondary listing on 20 January 2020.  Renewi is the largest waste-to-product company in the Benelux and is one of the only large-scale pure play recyclers in the world.  The secondary listing will give Continental European investors easier access to buy shares in Euros in Amsterdam. It is expected to contribute to liquidity in the Group's shares through its increased profile in the Benelux, and the Renewi brand is strongly aligned with Dutch economic and societal interest in the circular economy.  The listing will increase Renewi's visibility in the Netherlands which accounts for around 65% of Group revenue through the Commercial Waste Netherlands Division, the Hazardous Waste Division and elements of the Monostreams Division.

Otto de Bont, Chief Executive Officer of Renewi, commented: "We are delighted to have completed the secondary listing, a natural development reflecting Renewi's core Benelux presence. Through government legislation and the demands of consumers and companies for sustainable solutions, the Benelux is driving the circular agenda. The secondary Euronext listing will provide greater access for European investors, including those who are increasingly focused on ESG investing and the Green proposition.

"Renewi's strategy is focused on meeting the growing long-term demand for recycling and for secondary materials. The circular economy is evolving fast and demand for high quality secondary materials is set to continue to show strong growth, presenting a huge opportunity for Renewi.

"We look forward to capitalising on our enhanced Benelux focus and increasing our profile amongst the wider European investment community."

The secondary listing has been supported by Rabobank-Kepler Cheuvreux as listing agent.

About Renewi

Renewi is a leading waste to product company that gives new life to used materials every day. We have around 7,000 employees working at 174 operating sites across Europe. Our extensive operational network means we are always close to our customers.

For Renewi, waste is a state of mind, and an opportunity. Our many years of knowledge and experience, combined with a broad range of services, allow us to offer sustainable, practical recycling solutions. We use innovation and the latest technology to turn waste into useful materials such as paper, metal, plastic, glass, wood, building materials, compost and energy. In other words, we turn today's waste into tomorrow's raw materials.

The result of our work is less waste and contamination, a smarter use of scarce raw materials, and a reduction in carbon emissions. This means that we are contributing towards a cleaner, circular world in which we "waste no more".
