City of London (LSE: CLIG), a leading specialist asset management group offering a range of institutional and retail products investing in closed-end funds, announces that the Company's Employee Benefit Trust purchased 30,183 ordinary shares of 1p each on 18 May 2021 at a price of £5.3591 per share, a further 2,800 ordinary shares of 1p each on 19 May 2021 at a price of £5.3106 per share, and 259 ordinary shares of 1p each on 20 May 2021 at a price of £5.335 per share. Following these purchases, the Trust holds 1,591,137 ordinary shares in the Company representing 3.1% of the Company's issued capital, of which 678,120 (1.3% of the Company's issued capital) is held in custody for employees under the terms of the Employee Incentive Plan (EIP).
